Weekend Duty

This weekend has been very busy and full of energy from the students, which is a good thing and a bad thing. It makes it difficult to keep them quiet at night when they should be sleeping, but on the other hand it makes it more fun when all the students are happy.

This time of year is difficult because the winter is so long and dark. At the heart of the winter season the sun comes up at 8:30 in the morning and goes down at 3:30 in the afternoon. It's very dark and cold and very cloudy during the winter so a lot of the students get depressed at times.

But it's getting better now that the sun is going down later and coming up earlier. And the sun is out more! It's so refreshing!

Galla was great. The theme was '3G Musical.' They had a lot of good food and entertainment. They made a mini-musical of parts of different musicals (i.e. Phantom of the Opera, High School Musical, Grease, etc.). Galla started at around 5:45pm and ended around midnight. It was a long night. :)
